While Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City has its moments, it doesn’t have enough of them to make watching the movie in its entirety worthwhile.
Resident Evil: The Final Chapter is easily the most entertaining of the sequels, and while not as consistently engaging as Anderson’s first film, still the best video game to film adaptation to ever see the light of day, that doesn’t make the portions here that do work any less fun.
Resident Evil: Extinction is an old-fashioned, soda-slurping, popcorn-munching, R-rated good time and, the last time I checked, the laws against that sort of thing happily registered between zero and none.
Resident Evil: Apocalypse is pretty awful, and if this ends up being game over for the budding franchise I wouldn’t be at all surprised.
