It’s been an interesting experiment, revisiting my Top 50 Films 2000-2009. If nothing else, doing this solidifies in my mind the thesis that opinions about cinema, about any artistic endeavor, are not set in stone. That they are destined to change over time.

A few weeks back I promised I’d revisit and repost this list of 50 favorites covering the first decade of the 21st century. Starting today, and over the next few Sundays, that is exactly what it I intend to do.
Personally, I’d love to see either BlacKkKlansman, Roma or The Favourite win Best Picture, and if Bohemian Rhapsody pulls off the upset (which is VERY possible) I’ll likely scream in rage for a good solid week.
Let me emphatically state 2018 was an extraordinary year for cinema.
It was a magnificent year for cinema in 2018. Here were ten motion pictures and five documentaries I absolutely adored.
