If Mortal Kombat lived up to the beauteous butchery of its bookends, this would be the greatest video game-to-film adaptation ever made.

Monster Hunter is exactly what you think it is going to be, nothing more, and certainly nothing less, and I’m okay with that.

Resident Evil: Extinction is an old-fashioned, soda-slurping, popcorn-munching, R-rated good time and, the last time I checked, the laws against that sort of thing happily registered between zero and none.

Resident Evil: Apocalypse is pretty awful, and if this ends up being game over for the budding franchise I wouldn’t be at all surprised.
