While steps in the right direction are made with Breaking Dawn – Part II, it’s much too little and far too late, and this saga of undead romance is as laughably soapy now as it was when Meyer’s first book initially hit the bestseller list.

For 50 years James Bond’s thrilling escapades have stirred imaginations and kept audiences glued to the edge of their theater seats eager to discover what was going to happen next. Based on Skyfall, it wouldn’t surprise me if the British spy keeps on doing it better than anyone else for 50 more.

Alex Cross is a bad film, and that’s all there is to say on the matter.

Tai Chi Zero is a bad movie, and I honestly don’t think there’s anything left for me to say.

Taken 2 is a total hoot. Problem is, it’s not meant to be one.

Looper is Grade A sci-fi entertainment. Johnson’s film works, and like all great time travel epics, this is one adventure we’re all going to be thinking about far into the unknowable future.

Dredd didn’t do much for me, and while my final judgment is hardly as negative as it could have been, that doesn’t mean my passing of sentence labeling the film as forgettable is an endorsement people should purchase a ticket to see it in a theatre.

Hit & Run is relatively well acted and shows a great deal of promise, just not enough of the latter for the former to matter near as much as it otherwise would.
