Pokémon Detective Pikachu (2019)

by Sara Michelle Fetters - May 8th, 2019 - Movie Reviews

While my initial trepidations in regards to Rob Letterman’s latest proved to be somewhat unfounded, it still wasn’t like Pokémon Detective Pikachu won me over entirely.

Avengers: Endgame (2019)

by Sara Michelle Fetters - April 24th, 2019 - Movie Reviews

Avengers: Endgame is a solid adventure that fans will go nuts for. As for me, the last assembling of the original team of Avengers brought a smile to my face, this curtain call a satisfying final bow for a team of comic book heroes who all deserved this moment in the spotlight standing at the center of the stage.

Shazam! is a story where the children literally lead the way, teaching all of us to look inside our hearts for the potential hero within whether we think they reside there or not.

Aquaman (2018)

by Sara Michelle Fetters - December 21st, 2018 - Movie Reviews

Aquaman is an unhinged undersea thrill ride I enjoyed immensely, and the next time this hero picks up his trident I’ll eagerly take that leap into the cinematic ocean in order to see just what injustice he intends to remedy wielding it.

Mortal Engines (2018)

by Sara Michelle Fetters - December 14th, 2018 - Movie Reviews

There’s so much to love, so much that held me spellbound, the fact I’m sitting here annoyed that Mortal Engines never works nearly as well as it by all accounts early on looks as if it is going to has me lingering in a state perilously close to anger.

Ralph Breaks the Internet (2018)

by Sara Michelle Fetters - November 20th, 2018 - Movie Reviews

The only thing that Ralph Breaks the Internet wrecked was my assumption the first film didn’t require a sequel, this animated jaunt into the online universe a complete and total delight.

The Darkest Minds (2018)

by Sara Michelle Fetters - August 3rd, 2018 - Movie Reviews

There’s a lot to applaud about The Darkest Minds, just not enough to believe audiences will give it the type of look it is going to need to need for 20th Century Fox to continue to adapt Bracken’s books anytime in the immediate future.
