Avengers: Endgame (2019)
by Sara Michelle Fetters - April 24th, 2019 - Movie ReviewsAvengers: Endgame is a solid adventure that fans will go nuts for. As for me, the last assembling of the original team of Avengers brought a smile to my face, this curtain call a satisfying final bow for a team of comic book heroes who all deserved this moment in the spotlight standing at the center of the stage.

Captain Marvel (2019)

Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse (2018)
by Sara Michelle Fetters - December 14th, 2018 - Movie ReviewsThere is something new about Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse that can be traced squarely to the injection of this fresh blood into the proceedings. Miles is a hero anyone and everyone can relate to, making his animated debut a family-friendly present worth heading to the closest theatre to unwrap at any point throughout this holiday season.

The Predator (2018)
by Sara Michelle Fetters - September 12th, 2018 - Movie ReviewsAll I do know is that The Predator might be one of the more stupefying and frustrating disappointments of 2018, and a big part of me kind of wishes I hadn’t watched it in the first place.

Ant-Man and the Wasp (2018)
by Sara Michelle Fetters - July 6th, 2018 - Movie ReviewsAnt-Man and the Wasp is a breezy, fast-paced sequel that goes out of its way to provoke buckets of laughter and massive sighs of wide-eyed awe in pretty in equal measure. It’s a fun film, and other than that I have little more to say.

Avengers: Infinity War (2018)
by Sara Michelle Fetters - April 25th, 2018 - Movie ReviewsI cannot get past the simple truth that, in the end, as bad as it all appears, as amazing as the heroics might be and as astonishing as the fighting is, nothing happens in Avengers: Infinity War, all of the answers to the various questions aggressively put forth by the filmmakers to be answered in future MCU endeavors yet to be released.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 (2017)
by Sara Michelle Fetters - May 3rd, 2017 - Movie ReviewsI don’t think either Guardians of the Galaxy films are particularly great, but they are a heck of a lot of fun, Vol. 2 so overflowing in passionate imagination taking my eyes off of it for even a single second proved to be impossible. Gunn’s vision continues to be the most inspired of any director currently working inside of Marvel’s universe, and like a dancing Baby Groot I’m pretty sure at this point I’d jive right along to any beat he chooses to lay down next.

X-Men: Apocalypse (2016)
by Sara Michelle Fetters - May 27th, 2016 - Movie ReviewsX-Men: Apocalypse is the boldest, most audacious entry in this series to date, descending into places of despair, tragedy and chaos the likes of which are often spellbinding. Even if all of it doesn’t work, enough of it did to keep me engaged, everything building to a powerful conclusion of sacrifice and courage that speak to the larger themes at play nicely.
