Spectacularly animated and building to a heartfelt conclusion rooted in community and togetherness, Disney’s Raya and the Last Dragon is a stupendously entertaining adventure.

Soul ends on the perfect note, its last moments overflowing in voluminous human insights so melodious I could happily hum its climactic tune for a lifetime and likely never grow tired of hearing it.

Thanks to the talented cast a lot of the humor worked for me, and as relentlessly energetic as The Croods: A New Age can be, I still spent the majority of my time watching it with a gigantic grin plastered on my face.

Scoob! is a decidedly mixed bag, and while it was moderately fun to see a potential Hanna-Barbera universe take shape, this film is still too slapdash and rough around the edges to be consistently entertaining for any viewer over the age of eight or so.

Trolls World Tour rarely allowed me to catch my breath. It even more seldomly put anything that was happening into coherent perspective.

It’s all a bunch of colorfully anarchic, emotionally uplifting heartfelt supernatural silliness, all of which helps make Pixar’s latest comedic adventure Onward a goofy good time I’d be excited to see again.

Frozen II is a sequel that exists to tell its own individual story and not just ride on the Oscar-winning coattails of its predecessor, watching it a continual joy that filled my heart with glee.

Abominable is as entertaining an animated feature as I’ve seen this year, audiences of all ages almost certain to thrill to its avalanche of pleasures for many years to come.

While The Angry Birds Movie 2 is a vast improvement over its predecessor, and while I did laugh on more than one occasion, this is still one franchise that still has a long way to go if it is ever going to win me over.
