Chris Butler’s (ParaNorman) marvelously entertaining Missing Link is a joyous absurdist frolic that’s nothing short of wonderful.

Mega Time Squad is a lot of fun, this nutty little New Zealand effort a gonzo charmer I hope people take the time to see.

The only thing that Ralph Breaks the Internet wrecked was my assumption the first film didn’t require a sequel, this animated jaunt into the online universe a complete and total delight.

Venom is a bad movie.

What I will say is that, much like the first film, I’m totally fine with Deadpool 2, readily enjoying much of it. But that still doesn’t mean I plan on revisiting this sequel anytime soon.

I might even go so far as to proclaim Paddington 2 pretty much perfect, but let me indulge in one more marmalade sandwich before I make the decision to say just that.

[If] Pitch Perfect 3 ends up being the Bellas’ a cappella swan song, for my part I can’t help but feel the entire group goes out on something of a satisfying high note.

Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle might not be a great movie, but sure as heck it’s an entertaining one, and unlike its forerunner this is one kid-friendly action spectacular I wouldn’t mind watching again.

Thor: Ragnarok proves to be so creatively loopy, not to mention so consistently hysterical, I found it hopeless not to enjoy myself while sitting in the theatre watching things play themselves out to their conclusion. Waititi delivers the goods, and for fans of the MCU his arrival ends up being a breath of fresh air worth getting excited about.
